  • Assessing the effect of different agricultural practices on the production and quality of rice.

  • Studying the effect of different fertilisation management in rice agro-ecosystem on the environmental impact in terms of nutrient leaching and greenhouse gaseous emissions.

  • Quantifying the amount of water effectively consumed by a rice agro-ecosystems, looking for alternative management aimed to reduce the water consumption.

  • Describing the evolution of the different soil physical properties in irrigated rice.

  • Describing the behaviour of some representative rice varieties in different agro-environments.
